Another Year Another Tour
I’ve been planning this event for a while and it keeps changing :)
Originally I intended to do a Coast Route around Wales, then Matlock Bath in the Peak District and then over to Norfolk and then back home, but that changed. I met so many great people on last years Tour of the South, I wanted to go back and see them again but also change things a bit, so I came up with the idea of a Coast to Coast East to West Route, following as many coastal roads as possible, I was using Google Maps to help me plan but I hit limitations in it’s ability to plan out a route of this scale, of course I found a way around it but still the route map is a guide and there will be some other roads I will take.
So here’s my Plan:
Tues 19th Aug – Leave Margate, Custom Café, Bexhill on Sea for Breakfast/Lunch
Tues 19th Aug Poole Bike Night
Wed 20th Aug Westbay and then Paignton Bike Night
Thurs 21st Aug Jolly Bike Shop (Bovey Tracey)
Thurs 21st Aug Penzance (Chequered Flag, Chapter 1, Project 83)
Fri 22nd Aug Westward-Ho!
Sat 23rd Aug Western-Super-Mare & Oily Rag, Gloucester
Sun 24th Aug TBC (a few places in mind, but not finalised yet)
Mon 25th Aug Ryka’s then home to Margate
My little charity ride I'm doing this year, will be over 1,000 miles in 6 days going coast to coast East to West and including most of the South West 660 with an added bonus of a trip to the Cotswolds visiting some of the best bike roads, bike nights and venues along the way.

Sands is a brilliant charity that helps save babies lives and supports bereaved families.
In 2005, I lost my daughter Naima at two weeks of age following a tragic circumstance a few hours after she was born, Sands helped me navigate the grieving process. Over the years Sands have supported just under 19,000 bereaved families.
I'm the Founder of the O55 Motorcycle Group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/938534357286244) which started in March 2023 and now has over 1,600 members around the UK, mostly in the South/South East, we organise ride-outs and meet ups on a regular basis (several a week) throughout the year, we support local charities and charitable organisations and has been a great mental health support for our members and we have built a fabulous community of like-minded people.
